World Soil Day December 5

Low water advisory removed

(Media Releases)  The Water Response Team (WRT) has removed the Level 1 Low Water Advisory for the Bayfield River watershed.

Closures - Bridge construction

(Service Disruptions)  The construction of the much-anticipated Jones Bridge downstream of Morrison Dam has begun. The construction work at the pedestrian bridge site began the week of October 22, 2018. Trail sections will be closed. Roads as well.

Hunting on some ABCA lands

(Media Releases)  The days are getting shorter but the public use of Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) properties continues to be strong and will even increase with the deer hunting seasons coming up in November.

Optimists donate to Bridge

(Media Releases)  The South Huron Optimist Club has donated $1,000 to the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Foundation towards the community project to build a new pedestrian bridge on the South Huron Trail.

Canada EcoAction Funding

(Media Releases)  The Government of Canada has announced $4.3 million in Canadian funding to support 58 new EcoAction Community Funding Program projects across the country. The announced EcoAction funding includes $100,000 to Ausable Bayfield Conservation Foundation.
