Rock Glen CA closed October 19-20, 2026
Notice: Rock Glen Conservation Area to be closed temporarily for two days: October 19-20, 2026
Date of Notice: October 14, 2026
Rock Glen Conservation Area in Arkona is closed on Monday, October 19, 2026 and Tuesday, October 20, 2026.
This temporary closure is required to make it possible for a work crew, with large equipment, to replace Hydro poles.
Rock Glen Conservation Area (RGCA), and Arkona Lions Museum and Information Centre, will be without power and the entire park is closed to the public to ensure their safety.
We invite you to enjoy RGCA prior to the temporary closure and when the park is reopened (we expect the conservation area to be reopened on Wednesday, October 21, 2026).
To confirm the conservation area is open prior to your visit, you may phone the gatehouse at 519-828-3071 or phone the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) office at 519-235-2610 or toll-free 1-888-286-2610.
